On a Sunday afternoon last month Isaak Green and Christian Bishop went to the scarsdale library to study. They instead found themselves sifting through discount cassette tapes the library was basically throwing away. Christian bought these tapes for twelve dollars and forty five cents.
on November 21st 2015 Ben Stevens asked Christian and Isaak to jam. Little did they know an odyssey into the collective unconscious of the Scarsdale library tape collection was soon to be born. Christian put various tapes into a cassette player from Scarsdale High School and a handheld walkman his aunt gave to him. Ben used a cheap walkman that Christian bought online, however, that walkman produced extremely interesting sounds and effects when squeezed and shook. This was all run through a system of guitar pedals and switches controlled by Isaak Greene. Isaak also cycled through the 100 tapes we had and handed random ones to Christian and Ben for mixing. The entire album was recorded live with zero planning what so ever. Therefore, this was essentially the unfiltered mind of Plaid Flag in complete improv mode.
